Línea de trabajo
Start by tracing nemo-preview’s multi-page document preview and scrolling path, then inspect the reported libclutter-gst crash path and issue #346 for related freeze behavior. Reproduce with a multi-page PDF, DOC, or ODT in Nemo and capture where the main loop blocks; done means scrolling no longer freezes the preview and repeated previews avoid the reported crash.

Descripción
Summary
In Nemo, selecting a multi-page file (PDF, DOC, ODT), opening the space bar preview, then scrolling inside it freezes the preview window ("X doesn't respond" dialog, Force Quit needed). If I do not scroll and press space again, the preview closes normally. Repeated open attempts fail the same way, each preview staying non-responsive until it is closed.
A second, possibly related symptom: the previewer segfaults intermittently, with complete core dumps.
Environment
- Linux Mint 22.3 Zena (Ubuntu 24.04 base), kernel 6.8.0-147-generic
- x11 session
- Cinnamon 6.6.9, muffin 6.6.3, nemo 6.6.3
- nemo-preview 6.6.0, xreader 4.6.8, cjs with libmozjs-115
- GPU Intel HD Graphics 4000 (Ivy Bridge, i915), Mesa 25.2.8
- 8 GB RAM; no OOM events in logs
How to reproduce
- Open a folder with a multi-page PDF/DOC/ODT in Nemo
- Select a file, press space
- Scroll inside the preview window
For ODT/DOC, the previewer first converts the document to PDF with LibreOffice at every preview (journal line: convert ... as a Writer document -> ~/.cache/sushi/Name.pdf using filter : writer_pdf_Export), then renders pages one by one. Scrolling a multi-page document blocks the main loop.

Repeated failed attempts (the user retrying the preview every few seconds after each freeze):

Notes
- The crash is located in the media path (clutter-gst), but no video was being previewed at that moment, as far as the user can tell
- Old but possibly related report of the same freeze class with epub files: issue #346
- Workaround for the user: open multi-page documents directly in xreader instead of using the preview
