Línea de trabajo

Start with src/ui/theme.c, where the issue says Muffin draws title bar button states, and compare that behavior with GTK header bar CSS transitions. Determine how hover and press states are currently drawn and what transition behavior would match the reported Mint-Y example. Done means normal title bar buttons fade on hover and press like header-bar buttons.

Descripción

Description: With Mint-Y on Cinnamon, the minimize, maximize and close buttons fade in and out on hover in apps that use a GTK header bar (e.g. Superlight, Software Manager, Warpinator). In apps with a normal title bar (e.g. Xed, Update Manager), the same buttons change instantly. Next to each other, the two kinds of window behave differently.

Cause: Header-bar buttons are drawn by GTK and use the theme’s CSS transitions. Normal title bars are drawn by Muffin, which draws each button state once (src/ui/theme.c), so the transitions don’t apply.

Suggestion: Add transition support to Muffin’s title bar buttons, so hover and press changes fade the same way header-bar buttons do. Title bars would then match header-bar apps.

System: Linux Mint [22.3], Cinnamon [6.6.9], theme Mint-Y
