Línea de trabajo

Start by reading sentient/channels/base.py and the Telegram adapter in sentient/channels/telegram.py, then mirror its pairing and message flow for each new channel. Add the channel settings to the channels section of sentient/config/schema.py, and check desktop/src/features/channels/ for where channels are listed. Done means each channel pairs and chats like Telegram, group messages without an @mention are ignored, and tests cover pairing and the mention rule. Slack is only an integration in plugins/slack.py, so it needs a new channel adapter rather than a reuse.

Descripción

area: channels enhancement help wanted priority: P2 size: M

OpenClaw and Hermes both treat Slack, Signal and Matrix as core channels, and Hermes hardened group-chat behaviour in 2026.

Idea: New channel adapters reusing pairing codes. Group chats require an @mention (which stops bot-to-bot loops), unknown direct messages are declined, and a lock allows only one engine per host.

Status in Sentient today: New as channels. Slack exists as an integration (plugins/slack.py), not as a channel.

Where: New adapters next to sentient/channels/telegram.py and sentient/channels/discord.py on sentient/channels/base.py, config in the channels section of sentient/config/schema.py, and desktop/src/features/channels/.

Done when:

  • each channel pairs and chats like Telegram
  • group messages without an @mention are ignored
  • tests cover pairing and the mention rule
