Línea de trabajo

Start by locating the floating overlay and its drag handler, then inspect how WindowManager.LayoutParams and windowManager.updateViewLayout() are used. Choose and specify one resizing interaction from the listed options; done means the overlay can be resized reliably and supports smaller and larger dimensions for the stated use cases.

Descripción

From Heide (Galaxy Fold 5):

"Can you make the Float window resizable!"

The floating overlay is a fixed size (minOf(screenW - 32dp, 600dp) × 280dp). Users need to adjust it — a smaller window for one-handed use, a larger one for precision.

Options

  1. Pinch-to-resize on the canvas area (scale factor applied to the overlay's width/height)
  2. Corner resize handle on the drag bar's right edge (drag to resize, like a window manager)
  3. Size presets in a long-press menu (small/medium/large)

The WindowManager.LayoutParams can be updated via windowManager.updateViewLayout() with new dimensions — same mechanism as the drag handler.
