Start with the root pyproject.toml and README.md, then inspect the package metadata and relative links described in the issue. Check that the requested keywords, project URLs, Python classifiers, and absolute README links are present, and confirm the build metadata with uv build and uvx twine check dist/*. The dapr package's PyPI page is hard to find through search. Its pyproject.toml declares no keywords, and [project.urls] only has Documentation (pointing at the dapr/docs GitHub repo) and Source. The workflow, LangGraph and Strands support never shows up on the PyPI page.

What to change

In the root pyproject.toml only, with no dependency, version or extras changes:

  1. Add keywords, for example: dapr, durable-execution, durable-workflows, workflow, microservices, sidecar, pubsub, state-management, actors, ai-agents, langgraph, strands-agents, checkpointer.
  2. Expand [project.urls]:
    • Homepage: https://dapr.io
    • Documentation: https://docs.dapr.io/developing-applications/sdks/python/
    • Source: https://github.com/dapr/python-sdk
    • Issues: https://github.com/dapr/python-sdk/issues
    • Changelog: https://github.com/dapr/python-sdk/releases
  3. Add classifiers for the supported Python versions and Topic :: Software Development :: Libraries if they are missing.
  4. Make any relative links in README.md absolute (https://github.com/dapr/python-sdk/blob/main/...), so they work on PyPI.
How to check
  • uv build, then uvx twine check dist/* passes.
  • unzip -p dist/*.whl '*/METADATA' shows the new keywords and URLs.
  • uv lock --check still passes, so the lock file is unchanged.
  • Run the usual checks: uv run ruff check --fix && uv run ruff format, uv run mypy, and the unit tests.

Please sign off your commits (git commit -s), as the DCO check requires.
