Línea de trabajo

Start by locating the pathed stairs implementation and the inspector code that exposes Curve Segments; the issue does not name specific files or tests. Compare how curved spans are divided and joined, including open and closed paths, then assess fixed counts against counts based on angle or length. Done means choosing and implementing a clear behavior for those cases and settling whether the inspector setting should remain and what it should be called.

Descripción

Pathed stairs split each curved span of their path into straight pieces, each its own flight of stairs. How many is set by Curve Segments (8 by default); a span whose ends are both straight isn't split, so on a path with only straight corners the setting does nothing.

Look into:

  • how curved paths look and join with the current number of pieces, and whether a fixed count per span is right (long and short spans get the same count)
  • whether the count should follow the curve (by angle or length) instead of being set by hand
  • whether Curve Segments should be shown, and named differently, in the inspector
  • the open-ended and closed cases
