Línea de trabajo

The issue asks for a way to obtain higher-order derivatives of a ChebPoly, and mentions the existing chebgradient function as the first-derivative entry point. Read how chebgradient evaluates a ChebPoly's coefficients before designing anything. The API shape is still an open maintainer question, so confirm it in the thread before writing code. Done means a maintainer-agreed derivative API that returns a differentiated ChebPoly, with tests for p', p'' against finite differences.

Descripción

Would you consider adding an API for higher-order derivatives of a ChebPoly, particularly in 1D?
My use case is spectral collocation: after constructing a Chebyshev interpolant from nodal eigenvector values, I would like to evaluate $p$, $p'$, and $p''$ off-grid to compute continuous ODE residuals.
Currently chebgradient provides the first derivative very conveniently, but I could not find an equivalent way to obtain second or higher derivatives without AD or implementing a Chebyshev-coefficient recurrence externally.
An API returning a differentiated ChebPoly, e.g. conceptually derivative(c, n=1), would also be useful because the resulting polynomial could then be evaluated repeatedly.
Is this something that would fit the scope of FastChebInterp, or is there an existing recommended approach I have missed?
