Research direction

Start in packages/auth-atproto/src/admin.tsx and inspect how the admin's other strings are marked for Lingui; then check lingui.config.ts to understand the extraction scope. The issue identifies the affected labels, button text, setup description, and fallback error; determine how the package's strings can reach the catalogs and verify they appear translated in a non-English locale.

Description

Description

The AT Protocol (Atmosphere) sign-in and setup forms from @emdash-cms/auth-atproto show English text in every admin language. The admin around them is localized, so a Polish admin sees a translated heading („Zaloguj się przez Atmosphere”) and help text, but an English form inside.

The strings are hard-coded in packages/auth-atproto/src/admin.tsx:

  • Atmosphere Handle (input label, login form and setup step)
  • Sign in / Connecting... (submit button)
  • Sign in with your Bluesky/Atmosphere handle (setup step description)
  • Failed to start AT Protocol login (fallback error)

Expected: these strings go through Lingui like the rest of the admin. Lingui extraction only scans packages/admin/src (lingui.config.ts), so the package's strings never reach the catalogs.

Steps to reproduce
  1. Add authProviders: [atproto()] from @emdash-cms/auth-atproto to the emdash() options in demos/simple/astro.config.mjs.
  2. Run the demo and open /_emdash/admin/login signed out.
  3. Switch the language picker to any non-English locale (for example, Polski).
  4. Select Atmosphere.

The heading and help text are translated. The input label, the button and the setup step text stay in English.

Environment

EmDash 1.2.0 (main at 0a929da1b), @emdash-cms/auth-atproto from the workspace, demo simple, Node 24, macOS.
