Research direction
Start with guides/community-safety.md and CONTRIBUTING.md, then review GitHub’s community profile and vulnerability reporting guidance cited in the issue. The first step is confirming who handles security triage and conduct enforcement and verifying each receiving route. Done means the maintainer-approved routes and project-specific policies are published in recognized locations, the contributor journey is checked, and any remaining limitation stays explicit.

Description
Current gap
At reviewed master c2cbcf07ae67263ec7dbeb7cfb5822ea65b49c38 (2026-10-19), the repository does not publish its own recognized SECURITY.md or CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md. guides/community-safety.md explains this intentionally: a confidential intake route and enforcement path have not been verified. CONTRIBUTING.md warns against disclosing private information and offers GitHub's platform reporting for sensitive abuse.
That honesty is good. It nevertheless leaves an unfinished part of the project's own repository checklist and prevents recommending this repository as a complete community-maintenance model. A reusable SECURITY template is not the project's own operational policy.
Priority and authority
P1 readiness decision for the complete-repository example claim, not a blocker to reading the existing guides. Do not create cosmetic policy files to obtain checkmarks. Administration/security settings and any external reporting account require separate owner authorization.
Acceptance
- Confirm the maintainer responsible for security triage and conduct enforcement, including practical handling of conflicts.
- Verify a reporter-discoverable route and the receiving side before advertising it; keep security and conduct intake requirements distinct.
- Publish applicable project-specific policies in recognized locations, with supported branches, scope and honest expectations; no invented email, private inbox, guaranteed response time or confidentiality promise.
- Retain public-template warnings against posting secrets and sensitive personal material.
- Until operationally ready, keep the limitation explicit and do not describe the project as a complete community-health example.
- Check the resulting contributor journey and GitHub-recognized files, not just file presence.
