Current Limitation
The SDK cannot be installed on PHP 8.4 or 8.5: composer.json pins "php": ">=8.1 <8.4", so Composer refuses to install it on those versions.
Once that bound is lifted, three deprecations fire:
ParseException::__construct(): implicitly nullableException $previous = null(deprecated in 8.4)ParseStream:$http_response_header(deprecated in 8.5)ParseCurl:curl_close()(deprecated in 8.5)
Feature / Enhancement Description
Lift the upper PHP bound, fix the deprecations while staying compatible with PHP 8.1, and add PHP 8.4 / 8.5 to the CI matrix.
Example Use Case
- Upgrade an application to PHP 8.4 or 8.5
composer require parse/php-sdk- The SDK installs and runs without deprecation notices
Alternatives / Workarounds
composer install --ignore-platform-req=php, which still emits the deprecations at runtime.
