Rechercherichtung

Start by confirming whether cell editing is implemented at all for spreadsheets versus only for text documents — search the Kotlin sources (e.g. the document view/controller classes under app/src/main/java) for where cell taps are handled and whether an input/keyboard path exists for ODS. The bug report gives a reproduction: ODS file from LibreOffice, tapping a numeric or empty cell produces no caret. Done looks like either tapping a cell opens an editable state with keyboard input, or a documented maintainer answer that editing is intentionally unsupported for spreadsheets, with tests demonstrating the expected behavior.

Beschreibung

The website and app descriptions would suggest that basic editing is available:

Fix a typo on the go
Basic editing for the last correction before you send it — no round trip to a desktop.

I have a simple sheets spreadsheet file- ods. A single sheet, 50 rows of text and numbers. Created with LibreOffice 25.8.6.2.

It opens and displays perfectly but I can't edit it. I click into a cell with a number and nothing happens. Same as it if click into an empty cell, no keyboard, no way to add text.

Is this by design or does the app actually not have the ability to do simple edits?

Version: 4.18.0, f-droid
Update: also tried 4.19.1 same result.
