Beschreibung

Adds agent-tts to 🔌 Claude Plugins.

A spoken narration of what Claude Code is actually doing, built entirely on hooks (SessionStart, Stop, PreToolUse, PostToolUse). A local LLM judges every hook event and summarizes only the ones worth hearing — status pivots, real errors, final answers — then a local TTS engine speaks them. Nothing leaves the machine: Kokoro via mlx-audio on Apple Silicon, with the OS voice (say / espeak) as a zero-dependency fallback, and Ollama for the judge and summarizer. macOS and Linux, verified in CI on Python 3.11–3.13 across both.

Checked the README and the issue history for duplicates: not currently listed, and the three voice/TTS submissions already on file (Companion TTS #584, ClaudeVoice #527, EchoCoding #203) are different projects.

Fair warning rather than a pitch: it is new and has very few users, and the last two weeks of releases fixed two embarrassing bugs. It was silent on stock macOS until v0.1.11, because every hook wrapped its Python call in GNU timeout, which macOS does not ship — the hook logged "dispatched" and exited 0 the whole time. And it mangled filesystem paths in spoken output until v0.1.12, turning src/types.py into the spoken words "The file .py is ready." Both now have regression tests in the gate. Mentioning it because a list entry should be something you can trust, and you should know what you would be vouching for.

Disclosure: I am the author, and this issue was submitted with Claude Code.

Renamed since this was opened: the project is now agent-tts (github.com/chendrizzy/agent-tts) because it also drives Cursor's agent, not just Claude Code. The old URL redirects, so earlier links still work. Install name changed too: /plugin install agent-tts.
