Rechercherichtung

No files, tests, or specific intrinsics are named. Start by locating the existing xvec and std::simd wrapper entry points, then identify unusual intrinsics that are not already covered by xvec/std::simd. Done means providing agreed wrappers for the selected common intrinsics without duplicating existing SIMD functionality.

Beschreibung

enhancement x86

There are many intrinsics which are really quite useful. They will never be made into high-level APIs in C++ std::simd, but they could be given xvec wrappers to them to make them accessible without the user having to manage that themselves.

Wrappers will not be provided for things that xvec/std::simd can do itself (e.g., no wrapper for popcount as an existing simd function already provides it). The intention is to make unusual instructions, like gfni, available.
