Key Features
  • Cover all stated goals' six core facets before derived drill-down.
  • Use dependency-aware rounds, with one independently selectable question at a time and unlimited free-form answers.
  • Distinguish sourced facts, accepted decisions, and unverified assumptions.
  • Settle entailed consequences without redundant questions and confirm them at the satisfaction gate.
  • Keep concise numbered requirements, derived acceptance scenarios, per-goal coverage, and explicit blockers to planning.
  • Synchronize accepted cross-feature knowledge to canonical Markdown, with a three-condition ADR gate and recovery of partially saved updates.
  • Preserve clarify-compatible artifacts, checklist validation, and extension hooks in self-contained, Serena-independent commands.
Testing Checklist
  • Extension installs successfully via download URL
  • All commands execute without errors
  • Documentation is complete and accurate
  • No security vulnerabilities identified
  • Tested on at least one real project
Submission Requirements
  • Valid extension.yml manifest included
  • README.md with installation and usage instructions
  • LICENSE file included
  • GitHub release created with version tag
  • All command files exist and are properly formatted
  • Extension ID follows naming conventions (lowercase-with-hyphens)
Testing Details

Tested on:

  • Linux x86_64, Python 3.14.3, Spec Kit 0.16.2.
  • Claude, Codex, and Gemini integrations in isolated fixture projects.

Test projects:

  • Isolated fixture projects for installation, command registration, and compatibility checks.
  • A real Spec Kit project for end-to-end execution of both commands.

Completed checks:

  1. Validated extension.yml as grill v1.0.2 with two commands and zero hooks.
  2. Verified ZIP integrity and required files, including extension.yml at the archive root.
  3. Verified packaged installation, removal, and reinstallation for Claude, Codex, and Gemini.
  4. Confirmed both commands register correctly and their rendered bodies match the packaged sources.
  5. Verified Bash prerequisite resolution against active feature specifications.
  6. Confirmed the core speckit.clarify files remain unchanged.
  7. Downloaded the public release ZIP and checksum and verified them against the release artifact.
  8. Installed from the exact public Download URL in a fresh Codex fixture project and verified both command registrations.
  9. Executed both speckit.grill.me and speckit.grill.with-docs end to end on a real Spec Kit project and confirmed that both completed without errors.
  10. Completed security checks for the v1.0.2 extension; no vulnerabilities were identified.

Additional Context

This submission updates the existing grill community catalog entry.

Original accepted submission: https://github.com/github/spec-kit/issues/4047

Version 1.0.2 refines the English, Serena-independent clarification workflows. It improves core coverage, evidence and recommendation discipline, consequence handling, requirements and acceptance scenarios, and canonical-knowledge persistence.

Compared with v1.0.1, the command IDs, supported platforms, and required tools are unchanged.

The dedicated release ZIP is used because extension.yml is located under spec-kit-extension/ in the repository. The release ZIP places extension.yml at the archive root.

Please preserve the existing entry's maintainer-managed verification state, download and star counters, and creation date when applying this metadata update.
