Rechercherichtung

Start by reading manifest.yml and find how supported Node.js versions are declared and resolved during staging. Check the buildpack’s existing release and CI process for Node.js version dependencies and stack compatibility. Done means Node.js 26.x resolves for applications that specify it in package.json; the issue does not identify the required manifest changes or tests.

Beschreibung

Hi, Node.js 26 was promoted to Active LTS on 2026-10-28. Could you let us know when it will be available in the buildpack?

Current behavior

Node.js 26.x isn’t in the buildpack’s manifest.yml, so specifying "engines": { "node": "26.x" } in package.json fails to resolve a version at staging time.

Request
  • Can Node.js 26.x be added to the manifest in an upcoming release?
  • Is there a timeline, or anything blocking it (dependency builds, CI, stack compatibility)?
  • We're happy to test a pre-release or develop-branch build and report back.
