Problem
When running assignments from the OpenBot app with opencode, I keep getting:

The provider could not start this assignment. Resume to try again.

Resuming [does not help / only works sometimes]. This has been happening for the past few days.

Setup

  • OpenBot app driving opencode on Windows
  • GPU: RTX 5090
  • opencode providers configured:
    • llamacpp: NInfer (ninfer-serve) on the 5090, port 8089
    • remote-qwen: second NInfer host, port 8089
    • mtplx: Apple Silicon MLX box, port 8000
  • Model: qwen3.8-27b NVFP4 + MTP (vision enabled)
  • NInfer: --max-concurrency 1, context 262144, MTP draft-tokens 3
  • Also running llama.cpp llama-server (ctx 131072, n_slots 1) on port 8080

Steps to reproduce

  1. [e.g. open OpenBot, start a new assignment with provider X]
  2. [what you type / which agent role]
  3. Error appears [immediately / after N seconds]

Expected
The assignment starts on the selected provider.

Actual
The error above appears and the assignment does not start.

  • [Is the provider server reachable and responding? e.g. curl to /v1/models]
  • [Does opencode work on its own with the same provider?]
  • [Does it fail with every provider or only one?]
