Research direction

Start by locating the mask-icon tooltip in the bottom bar and the separate tooltip used when the mask panel is hosted in the left side panel. Trace how the panel decides whether a focused module is maskable and how right-click blending options are enabled. Verify that the tooltips describe the actual right-click behavior and that the no-focused-module wording identifies the absence of a maskable module.

Description

The following applies if a non maskable module is focused, e.g. demosaic or lens correction.

  • the tooltip of the mask icon in the bottom bar says "unavailable: the focused module does not support masks. right click for the blending options". But a right click does nothing.
There is a similar tooltip if no module is focused. In this case a right click opens the blending options.
Maybe the problem here is not the tooltip but that the right click is ignored?

  • if the mask panel is hosted in the left side panel, it says "no focused module". Better would be "no maskable module is focused" or similar.
