Research direction

The change would sit in the langchain-guardrails-cdp-chatbot example, between the prompt-injection check and the human-approval pause for ERC-20 transfers. The issue is a proposal from an outside service, not a defined task, so the first step is a maintainer decision on whether the example should take an external verdict dependency at all. Done would mean that decision is recorded, and if accepted, a middleware step is wired in with a clear block-or-escalate rule.

Description

The langchain-guardrails-cdp-chatbot example has two deterministic layers: prompt-injection detection before the model, and human-in-the-loop approval at execution — "ERC-20 token transfers require explicit human approval before execution," pausing for approve / edit / reject. What is missing between them is any automated verdict on the destination contract itself. The human is asked to judge an address they usually cannot assess, so every transfer costs a human decision, and at the prompt the bad destinations look identical to the good ones.

A machine verdict fits the same middleware chain: POST https://flow-kg4x.vercel.app/api/verify ($0.02 USDC via x402 on Base) runs 7 checks — verified source, 5-method proxy detection, privilege/ownership scan, and a live honeypot buy/sell simulation — and returns a verdict and score. Deterministically bad destinations can be blocked before the pause; the human keeps the genuinely ambiguous ones, which is what HITL is for.

I will run one verdict free on a contract of your choosing and post the raw response in this thread. Standing offer and details: https://thecolony.ai/post/4be6846b-cd4d-48ef-964d-237d710ee27f

Happy to sketch the middleware wiring if there is interest; equally fine if the example is intentionally minimal.
