Research direction

Start with the reasoning in pull request #8813, linked from the issue body, to learn the new get_summary_text() signature and its three parameters. Then find the jsonrpc code that calls the summary API, check whether get_summary_text() already exists or whether get_summary() is what jsonrpc uses now, and update the call sites. Done means the jsonrpc layer compiles against the new API and its tests pass. Confirm the approach with a maintainer first, since the issue leaves open whether to add or reuse the function.

Description

jsonrpc needs to be updated to new get_summary_text() api, see https://github.com/chatmail/core/pull/8813 for details and reasoning.

  • if there is already a get_summary_text(), maybe we can add the three parameters

  • if there is no get_summary_text() yet, add it (might be get_summary() was used, that returns a lot of other things but does not accept parameters)
