Description

Reminder: MyRange SSL certificate renewal

The current SSL certificate for myrangebc.gov.bc.ca expires Apr 14, 2027.

Start the renewal process by Mar 14, 2027 (1 month before expiry) to allow time for CSR submission, CA turnaround, and route update.

Steps (see previous renewal for reference)
  1. Generate new private key + CSR (openssl)
  2. Submit CSR to CA / IT team for signing
  3. Once signed cert is received, verify it matches the private key
  4. Update OpenShift route myra-web in namespace 3187b2-prod (spec.tls.certificate, spec.tls.key)
  5. Update secret myrange.gov.bc.ca.csr in 3187b2-prod (archive old csr/key, set new csr/key)
  6. Verify live TLS cert via openssl s_client -connect myrangebc.gov.bc.ca:443

Current cert details:

  • Subject: CN=myrangebc.gov.bc.ca
  • Issuer: Entrust OV TLS Issuing RSA CA 2
  • Valid: Sep 28, 2026 – Apr 14, 2027
