Research direction

Start by reading Loadout.kt:34 and programData/utd/shortcutDefs.xml:283–286 to see how the Numeric loadout shortcut is defined in both places. Choose an unassigned shortcut and update both definitions together; the work is done when the Numeric loadout uses the new shortcut and no longer relies on Ctrl+Shift+U.

Description

Problem

Files Loadout.kt:34, programData/utd/shortcutDefs.xml:283–286

On many Linux distributions, IBus/GTK reserve Ctrl+Shift+U for Unicode entry, so BrailleBlaster never receives that keystroke and the Numeric loadout can't be selected by keyboard. This is a real behavior change, so both the code accelerator and the XML definition need to move together.

A challenge here I understand is that this moves away from easy mnemonics for what a letter coresponds to. Obviously It can be anything unassigned, not just "D"
