Research direction

Start by reviewing how the plugin handles deactivation and the role of wp-content/db.php. Compare the proposed checkbox and mu-plugin approaches, then clarify which behavior is wanted. Done should mean the SQLite database remains accessible when the plugin is deactivated or is installed as a mu-plugin.

Description

Problem

I just installed this in an environment that doesnt have any other db than sqlite. When I deactivated the plugin, the db was obviously not accessible. I had to restore wp-content/db.php .

Proposal

Two ideas:

  1. Perhaps a checkbox or something could be added that prevents deactivating the plugin
  2. Some mechanism to make it a mu-plugin
