Research direction

Start by launching OpenGothic with -gi 2 using save_slot_19.zip, reproduce the seeker fireball scenario, and compare it with -gi 1. Read crash.log and the final radv/amdgpu context-loss message first. Done means identifying and correcting the global-illumination/fire effect crash without regressing the working -gi 1 path.

Description

bug

Describe the bug
When new global illumination is enabled (-gi 2 launch parameter), game crashes a few seconds after a character was set on fire (like through fireball spell). -gi 1 does not crash.

OS is Arch Linux, kernel 7.1.9.zen1-2. GPU is Radeon RX 9070 XT. Mesa driver version is 26.2.1.

Save-game/Log-file/Screenshots/Video
Save slot with a seeker nearby. To reproduce, launch the game with -gi 2 set. Let the seeker hit you with a fireball and wait a few seconds.
save_slot_19.zip

Application log
A relevant log line immediately before crash is radv/amdgpu: The CS has been cancelled because the context is lost. This context is innocent.
