Research direction

This is a listing submission rather than a code change: find an existing app entry in the same "Video and Motion Tools" category and copy its shape, then fill in Autorec's name, category, ✅ Apple Silicon status, the https://autorec.app/downloads link and the arm64 evidence already quoted in the issue. Check whether entries here expect a bundled screenshot, since the reporter offered to provide one. Done looks like the entry passing the repo's data validation and rendering on the site.

The macOS build is Apple Silicon only — there is no Intel or universal binary — so the release asset name itself tracks the status: autorec-<version>-macos-arm64.dmg. If that ever changes it will be visible in the release list without anyone having to re-test.

Platform support is also stated on https://autorec.app/pricing under "Platform availability".

Full Screenshot with the App and Activity Monitor(if self reporting) or Silicon Info

I don't have an Activity Monitor screenshot to hand, so here is the equivalent evidence straight from the shipped artifact — the Mach-O header of the binary inside the published DMG, which anyone can reproduce:

$ curl -sLO https://github.com/mlaass/autorec-releases/releases/download/v0.12.2/autorec-0.12.2-macos-arm64.dmg
$ 7z e a.dmg "autorec 0.12.2/autorec.app/Contents/MacOS/autorec"
$ file autorec
autorec: Mach-O 64-bit arm64 executable, flags:<NOUNDEFS|DYLDLINK|TWOLEVEL|WEAK_DEFINES|BINDS_TO_WEAK|PIE|HAS_TLV_DESCRIPTORS>

Single-slice arm64, not a fat binary and not x86_64 under Rosetta. The bundled ffmpeg binary in Contents/MacOS is the same. Happy to add an Activity Monitor screenshot if you'd rather have one in the usual format — just say so.

Additional Context

Autorec is a meeting recorder: it detects Zoom, Teams and Google Meet windows, records them to MP4, and transcribes on-device with whisper.cpp. Native C++20, no Electron.

Two things worth knowing for the listing:

  • Apple Silicon only. macOS 12+, no Intel build at all, so "works via Rosetta" does not apply either way.
  • The DMG is currently ad-hoc signed, not Developer ID notarized, so first launch needs right-click → Open. Developer ID signing is in progress. Mentioning it in case that affects how you'd like it listed.

It also ships for Linux and Windows, but this request is only about the macOS build.
