Research direction

Start by exploring the query-results view and existing table-editing flows; the issue does not name files or tests. The requested behavior is inline editing of query results, including joined results with a selectable target table, but implementation scope and completion criteria need discussion before work can be scoped.

🚀 Feature Proposal

I'm using SQLYog Ultimate (great product, but no longer maintained), and it has the ability to edit the results, even on join statements, where you can select the target table the make the edits inline. This would be really super useful.
