Bug Report: Column Length/Size Not Displayed in Table Schema View

Summary

When viewing table columns in the database explorer, the application only displays the data type of each column and does not show its configured length, precision, or scale.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Database Explorer.
  2. Search for and select a table.
  3. Expand the Columns section.
  4. Review the data type information displayed for each column.

Current Behavior

Only the base data type is displayed, such as:

  • varchar
  • int
  • tinyint
  • decimal

The configured length, precision, or scale is not visible.

Expected Behavior

The full column definition should be displayed, including size, precision, and scale where applicable. Examples:

  • varchar(255)
  • varchar(50)
  • char(10)
  • int(11)
  • decimal(10,2)
  • numeric(18,4)

Impact

This limitation makes it difficult to review and validate the actual database schema directly from the user interface. Developers and administrators must query the database metadata or inspect the schema manually to determine field constraints and storage limits.

Example

Current display:

name varchar
code varchar
status tinyint
order int

Expected display:

name varchar(255)
code varchar(50)
status tinyint(1)
order int(11)

Evidence

The attached screenshot shows that column definitions only display the data type (varchar, int, tinyint, etc.) without indicating the configured field length or size.`

To Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Database Explorer.
  2. Search for and select a table.
  3. Expand the Columns section.
  4. Review the data type information displayed for each column.
