Research direction

The payload names no source files, so start by finding where the four HUD button prompts are drawn and how their glyph order is currently set. Check whether the project already has a settings or config mechanism to extend. Done means a user-facing option reorders the four prompts, such as swapping X and O, and the default layout is unchanged.

The idea

I play with a PS5 Pro controller, and I’ve tried modding BOTW to change this myself, but haven’t been able to get it working.

Would it be possible to add an option to customize the order of the four button prompts on the HUD?

I’d like to be able to rearrange freely all four prompts—for example, swap X and O when using my PS5 controller, or A, B and X positions when using my GameCube controller to accurately reflect on screen the controller I'm using.
