Research direction
Locate the Wayland platform initialization code where libdecor is loaded and the terminal warning is printed. Add a modal popup that appears when libdecor is missing, explaining the issue and listing the package name for major distributions. The change should be confined to the platform-specific Wayland code.
Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
Description
Applies, particularly, to Gnome.
If server-side decorations (title bar, etc...) are not available, Redot uses libdecor to create them client side.
The issue is, this makes libdecor a silent dependency in such cases.
Example with libdecor:
Example without libdecor (libdecor-0-0 package on Ubuntu):
Without libdecor, there's no title bar and no way to resize or move the window around except some precarious keyboard shortucts.
This makes the editor borderline unusable, and the only warning is in the terminal, and even the terminal does not actually confirm libdecor was not found, just "if available..." etc...
Proposed solution would be to have a pop-up explain to the user why their editor is defrocked, and let them know the libdecor package they would have to install to correct the situation on the major Linux distributions.
