Research direction

Start with application/financial_portfolio.py to understand the CSV input format, asset screening, and existing QAOA/classical comparison. Check the chain registry work in dependency #2 and the related Chainlink feeds issue, then verify Robinhood's official testnet details, supported assets, and a reliable historical price source. Done means users can select tokenized assets and receive an allocation with the comparison, data source and time, and analysis disclaimer, with no signed transactions.

Description

chain-integration enhancement finance tier-1

Summary

Add Robinhood Chain (an Arbitrum Orbit chain) to the registry and let the QAOA portfolio optimizer use its tokenized stocks as an asset universe, producing an allocation plan without placing trades.

Motivation

It gives the finance module a real, on-chain asset set and a relevant story for the quantum portfolio benchmark.

Current state in this repo

  • application/financial_portfolio.py takes CSV price history, screens assets and runs the QAOA/classical comparison; max assets considered defaults to 16 and is capped at 100.

Proposal

  • Add the Robinhood Chain testnet to the registry (#2).
  • Build a read-only loader that lists supported tokenized assets and fetches price history from an approved data source (see the Chainlink feeds issue) into the existing input format.
  • Run the existing optimizer and present an allocation plan with the usual quantum vs classical comparison.
  • Clearly label output as analysis, not investment advice, and do not execute trades.

Acceptance criteria

  • A user can pick tokenized assets and receive an optimized allocation using the existing pipeline.
  • No transaction is ever signed by this feature.
  • UI and API responses include the disclaimer and data source/time.

Out of scope

  • Trading or order routing.
  • Mainnet.

Technical notes and risks

  • Tokenized securities have jurisdictional restrictions. Keep this analysis-only and consult maintainers before any execution feature.

Dependencies

  • #2

Verify before implementing

  • Testnet chain id, RPC and asset list from Robinhood's official documentation.
  • Source of reliable historical prices for these tokens.

Part of ##1. Ground rules for all issues in this roadmap are listed there (testnet-first, no secrets in the repo, chain logic behind the registry, tests and docs with every PR).
