Research direction

Locate the Event JSON-LD referenced in the issue and run it through validator.schema.org and Google's Rich Results Test. Record whether ConferenceEvent and hasParticipationOffer are recognized, then determine whether the existing markup can remain for Python-conference interoperability or needs standard subEvent/Offer modeling. Done means the validation outcome and resulting decision are documented.

Description

priority: low schema

Problem

The audit flagged ConferenceEvent and hasParticipationOffer as possibly non-standard schema.org. They were understood to have been merged into schema.org; this should be confirmed against tooling so we know whether Google/validators parse them or ignore them.

Fix

Run the Event JSON-LD through https://validator.schema.org/ and https://search.google.com/test/rich-results; document the result. If unrecognized, decide whether to keep for Python-conference interop (Google ignores, no rich-result harm) or remodel via standard subEvent/Offer.
