Research direction

Start by checking the project's Releases for the NSIS installer and how releases are produced; the issue names no repository files or tests. Create a winget manifest PR and a Scoop manifest, then consider automating updates in the release workflow. Done means the app can be installed through both package managers and new releases update their manifests automatically.

Description

enhancement help wanted

Being installable with winget install / scoop install would make the app much easier to discover and install.

  • winget: a manifest PR to microsoft/winget-pkgs pointing at the NSIS installer from Releases (wingetcreate can generate it).
  • Scoop: a manifest in an existing bucket (e.g. extras).

Ideally new releases update the manifests automatically (e.g. a release workflow using wingetcreate update).
