Research direction

Start by reading the Android app’s existing lyrics display and translation related entry points; the issue does not name any files or tests. Compare the suggested AI, translation API, and local model options, then define the supported approach and how translations should appear before implementation. Done means lyrics can be translated using a chosen approach, with the behavior and limits documented.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Is your feature request related to a problem?

Sometimes I listen to music in languages I don’t know as well as my native language, this can be useful for people like me.

Describe the solution you'd like

maybe letting an AI (gemini/openrouter or firefox translation models/Meta NLLB-200) translate lyrics or using google translator/deepl api

I’m also not sure if local models are viable for this.

Describe alternatives you've considered
