Research direction

The issue names no files or tests. Start by locating the surface-input and external-forcing entry points, then read how control surfaces are represented. Done means arbitrary or psi=1 input surfaces are supported and equivalent surface currents yield currents on the control surface, as described in the issue.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

See title. Making us accept an arbitrary or psi=1 surface for external forcing for coupling with surfmn or thincurr for example would simplify workflows coupling to other codes. Should use method of equivalent surface currents and solve for a current potential in vacuum, a-la-boozer / park early IPEC papers.
