Research direction

Start with the attached implementation proposal and the linked forum discussion, since the issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Clarify the replacement design for SOURCE_TO_CONCEPT_MAP before identifying where the Common Data Model defines tables. Done means an agreed, explicit proposal and the corresponding WIDE_MAPPING table implementation.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Minor Change Proposal

As there’s a proposal to deprecate the SOURCE_TO_CONCEPT_MAP table (#727), a replacement is needed.

The concept and available implementation options are described in the attached document here, and the abstract is available via QR code from the poster.

Forum discussion is here.

Currently, it’s a placeholder. We’ll summarize it into a clear and explicit proposal soon.
