Research direction

The payload names no files or tests, so start by finding where the app's existing video autoplay accessibility setting is read and where GIF playback is decided. Check whether the GIF path ignores that setting, then decide where a separate toggle belongs. Done means a new option disables GIF autoplay, and the setting still behaves as before when the option is off. Since the issue is 333 days old with no maintainer reply, confirm the scope with a maintainer before starting.

Description

enhancement good first issue
Description

In previous twitter versions, disabling video autoplay in accessibility settings also prevented gifs from autoplaying. This seems to no longer work in the current twitter version, and it would be nice to have an option to disable this (I hate autoplay anywhere and everywhere)
