Research direction

Open backbone-request.js at the linked line and trace how update requests are assembled. Ensure params.data reaches the remote server for updates, then verify that update operations no longer omit their payload.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

backbone-request works fine with reads. However, any updates are useless as we never pass through params.data to the remote server.
