Research direction

Start with the Register Machines code list, where Polyrate and DirDyVTST still appear as runnable codes, and read issue #331 to confirm which codes were retired from New. Remove every retired code from that list, then check the other retired codes the issue mentions. Done when Register Machines offers only the codes that still run, with no retired entries left.

Description

Found 2026-10-15 (Linux, test-912 build). Reaction studies are no longer offered under New (#331), but Register Machines still lists Polyrate among the codes a machine can run. Retired codes should not be offered there either. Check DirDyVTST and the other retired codes in the same list. Not release-critical.
