Research direction

The issue identifies the Periodic Table (pertable) and its embedded uses in the Builder and Basis Set Tool, but does not name files or tests. First read the review/screenshots for #210 and inspect the existing tables in those three contexts. The redesign still needs its layout, per-element information, and usage requirements specified before implementation can be considered done.

Description

Summary

From the review of the #210 window screenshots (@ohlincha, 2026-10-04): the Periodic Table (pertable) could do with a general redesign.

The theme colours, fonts and sizing from #210 already apply to it. This issue covers the redesign beyond that, to be specified: layout, what is shown per element, and how it is used from the Builder and the Basis Set Tool, which each embed their own periodic table.
