Research direction

Start by reading related issues #261 and #438, then inspect how Messages currently launches camera, video, and audio recording or playback apps. Done means Messages can open the relevant Fossify app when no suitable system app is available; the issue has had no comment for over 200 days, so check whether the request is still current before starting.

Feature description

I have several Fossify apps installed, including Messages, Camera, and Voice Recorder. I'm able to choose existing photos and videos to attach, but when trying to take a photo or video from Messages, I get "no valid app found", and ditto for playing an audio recording. If I save the recording, then open it manually in Voice Recorder, it plays... And if I want to send someone a picture I can switch to the Camera app to take it... But it would be much more convenient if the Messages app were able to directly open the other relevant Fossify apps.

Many thanks to the developers for an excellent suite of FOSS apps, by the way!

Why do you want this feature?

It saves a lot of hassle to not have to switch back and forth between apps
