Research direction

Start by scanning the working tree for internal tracker keys, hostnames, working notes, and German or mixed-language text; the issue does not name specific files or tests. Then scan the full git history for secrets with a tool such as gitleaks. Done when the acceptance grep finds no old tracker keys or internal hostnames outside the changelog and the history scan is clean.

Description

type: chore

Goal

The public repository should contain only things that make sense to an outside reader.

Tasks

  • Find and remove or rewrite internal references: references to private systems, internal hostnames, internal project tracker keys (for example CR-nn) in documentation, code comments, test names, and commit-derived docs where they confuse outsiders. Link to GitHub issues instead where a reference is still useful.
  • Remove working notes and spike data that are not useful to the public, or move them into clearly labeled docs/ pages with context.
  • Scan the full git history and the working tree for accidentally committed secrets before the public announcement (the tracked-secrets scan in CI helps; also run a history scan with a tool such as gitleaks).
  • Replace German or mixed-language leftovers with English.

Acceptance criteria

A grep for the old tracker key pattern and internal hostnames returns nothing outside of the changelog, and the history scan is clean.
