Research direction

This is a meta tracking issue: it only announces the 1.4–1.x project scope and links to https://github.com/orgs/CoderLine/projects/16, with no code, file or task described. There is nothing to start from here and no definition of done, and the thread has been silent since it was opened roughly 871 days ago. Anyone wanting to contribute should browse the linked project board and pick an individual, self-contained issue instead.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
