Description

Most MusicXML files carry a lot of layout information which is neglected by alphaTab. As we have partial support for line breaks, this can lead to strange music sheet display.

To mitigate this problem alphaTab should try to infer the systems layout from given information like page sizes and measure widths and combine it correctly with system breaks to achieve the same layout when the music sheet is rendered with the Parchment layout.

Change on Page layout?

At the same time the Page layout should likely not respect the manual page breaks. I would consider the Page layout rather as a automatic Layout similar to the "Screen - Vertical" of Guitar Pro where all aspects are selected automatically by alphaTab. Parchment is the more explicit layout where we respect systems layouts, page breaks etc.

Reading and re-exposing the page layout information from input files is the next evolution.
