Research direction

Open public/service-worker.js and read CORE_ASSETS and limitCacheSize. Check how cache entries are ordered and which requests the limiter removes. Keep /offline and / protected from pruning, then verify that the limiter still caps other cached requests at 100.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

In public/service-worker.js, limitCacheSize deletes the oldest cached item (keys[0]) whenever more than 100 requests are cached. Since the offline fallback (/offline) and home page (/) are cached first during installation, they get deleted first as the student browses, breaking offline mode.
What needs to be done:

  • Protect CORE_ASSETS so /offline and / are never pruned by the cache limiter.
