Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reviewing the sub-issues and confirming that one cleanup task is real and active, then inspect the affected JavaScript areas and existing conventions; done means the selected cleanup is applied consistently without changing algorithmic logic or functionality.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

This issue is a collection of code cleanup tasks that (probably) do not affect algorithmic logic or functionality. Essentially just cleanup tasks that could be done piecemeal or all at once.

Common situations to address and be consistent with:

  • Conditional assignments
  • conditional and logical chains
  • == and ===
  • a ? yay : boo and ??
  • hey["horse"] and hey.horse
  • {"hey": "horse"} and {hey: "horse"}
  • obj.hasOwnProperty("__rerum") and obj?.__rerum
  • tic, single, and double quote string after = and in foo("param", 'parame', `paramete`)
  • const and let
  • semicolon that ends a line of code

See the sub issues. Before doing any work on an issue, confirm it is real and active.
