Research direction

Start with the saveTiff parameter and the h5 saving branch in StripRegistration.m, then find where MultiRoiRegistration.m always writes motion-corrected movies as tif. Add the same saveTiff option to MultiRoiRegistration.m, defaulting to the current tif behaviour, and write h5 output when it is false. Done when both registration classes accept the option and produce the same output formats.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Currently MultiRoiRegistration.m always saves the motion corrected movies as tif files. In StripRegistration.m, the saveTiff parameter was added to optionally save motion corrected movies as h5 files to save on storage.

This same functionality should be added to MultiRoiRegistration.m as well
