Start by reading the attached Bug.zip video to reproduce the password visibility after an incorrect attempt. Then trace the password prompt and retry flow in the sudo source; the issue does not name files or tests. Done when a quick retry no longer exposes the password, with a regression test covering the behavior.

To trigger the bug you have to "fail" then quickly type your password... the system will take some seconds to ask the password again, while it's "processing" you'll be able to see your password.
