描述
I’m using a newly registered SoundCloud API app to migrate my own personal music archive to my Artist Pro account.
The app uses OAuth 2.1/PKCE and uploads one track at a time via multipart POST /tracks.
Reads such as /me and /me/tracks continue to work, and bulk metadata updates also work normally. Track uploads, however, work for a while and then the connection starts being terminated without a normal HTTP response.
Typical errors:
Remote end closed connection without response
and occasionally:
[SSL: UNEXPECTED_EOF_WHILE_READING]
In one controlled test, uploads were spaced 30 seconds apart. The first 30 tracks succeeded, then subsequent POST /tracks requests consistently failed. After leaving the API unused for several days, uploads began working again.
I also briefly triggered SoundCloud’s “unusual activity / automated activity” web protection during earlier testing.
Is there an undocumented upload-side rate limit / anti-abuse threshold for POST /tracks, and is there a recommended upload cadence for a legitimate one-time personal catalogue migration?
