No file or test is named; start by locating the object.id and object._id definitions and checking how the object data stores its UID. Then find or run the relevant tests for objects with and without _id; done means object.id consistently returns the UID in both cases.

object.id is sometimes set and sometimes not.
Move it to object._id and make some getter method that will dig into the data to find the uid if self._id is not set.
