Start by searching the package for the single use of the history object and inspect the package dependency configuration. Replace that use with the appropriate native web API, then verify that history is no longer installed transitively and that the extension still builds and its available tests pass.

OCP console would like to remove history as a transitive dependency.
Since the history object is only used in one place here we should instead use native web APIs to accomplish this instead of a library
