The payload names no files, tests or entry points, so there is no known starting file. A newcomer would first need to find where the app reads and displays spreadsheet cell values, and whether ODF formulas are evaluated at all. The issue does not define what done looks like, and it asks a question rather than specifying a behaviour, so the maintainer's intended scope (recalculate on save, on reopen, or both) should be settled before any code is written.
